Day #47 in A Year of Positivity

“It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses, we must plant more roses.” – George Eliot

Hello, everyone, and thank you for joining me on Day #47 in A Year of Positivity! Today’s awesome quote is brought to you by George Eliot, “It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses, we must plant more roses.”

Simply put, this quote means that all the best things in life require effort and hard work for them to be attainable. It’s okay to visualize what you want for your future. In fact, it’s something everyone should do. However, one simply cannot just sit back and expect what they visualize of their future to just materialize out of thin air or come to them through an ‘overnight process’ or catch a ‘lucky break’ with minimal effort leading up to this. In order to get what you truly want, you must absolutely work at it, and accept all the challenges that pop up in your path.

You have to fight your fears, trust your gut and intuition, and you have to be your own cheerleader 100% of the time. You have to set your goals, learn to throw procrastination out the window (if this applies), and you have to actively own up to the responsibilities of your results. These aren’t exactly easy, as I would know this firsthand, but all the investment you put into yourself, and all the hard work you put into the future you see for you and your family, will pay off. It’ll be worth every step you take!

Believe in yourself. Take a chance on your future. And please don’t be afraid to fall or fail, because this just means you’re still in a learning curve, and these are only valuable lessons with opportunities to try a different way of achieving what you see for you and the life you envision for yourself and those closest to you. Oh, and whatever you do, ignore the gossipers and the naysayers. Yours is the only one whose opinion matters for you, because you’re the only one who has access to the power of your thoughts.
