“Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!” – Dr. Seuss
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, wherever you are in the world, and welcome to Day #41 in A Year of Positivity! I hope we have another beautiful day on our hands! Today’s quote has been brought to you by Dr. Seuss, “Today you are you. That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!”
I love this quote because it takes me back to a time where I was in fifth grade art class. We had some clay and pottery lessons. I can barely remember the things we learned in art class during that year, or before then. However, I distinctly remember these lessons. We all got a chance to make an animal out of clay, paint it, and have it baked in the kiln. We also each got to learn how to do pottery, and each of us students got our own clay to work with when we took turns on the pottery wheel.
To be able to work with clay, and make two different projects with it, was an incredible experience. I made a cow, and I painted him white with speckled blue. I thought it was the prettiest color paint in the options of paints that I had at the time. It’s silly to think now, and I can’t help but laugh at that, but oh well. I was a kid, LOL! No student’s animal was the same, and it was awesome to see everyone’s handiwork look so different. The same process happened with making our own little pot.
Like clay and pottery, we can mold and form from our experiences as we grow, and we’re all different from the next. No one could make my cow clay or my pot the same way I did, and I could never replicate someone else’s work of art either. It goes to show how unique and special and incredible we all are. You can’t be anyone else, and no one could ever be you. You are the only you that will ever be.
So, stay true to who you are, and never forget that.
