“Choose to be optimistic. It feels better.” – Dalai Lama
Ciao, folks, and thank you for checking out Day #29 in A Year of Positivity! The Dalai Lama brings today’s quote to you, “Choose to be optimistic. It feels better.”
I like this quote because it goes to show that no matter what we’re going through, optimism is something that we can choose. Feeling hopeless and doubtful will have negative effects in one’s life. However, when one looks to positivity and optimism, these will have positive effects in their life.
If we think things won’t improve for us, that it’s impossible, then we’re right. Things won’t get better.
If we think things can improve for us, that it’s possible, then we’re right. Things will get better.
The way we think is how we approach matters that concern us throughout our lives. Our thinking determines how we’ll voluntarily react to, and handle, situations that are presented before us.
Thinking positively and optimistically phenomenally improves our mental and physical well-being. According to what I read on Harvard’s website, studies show that optimism generally improves one’s health, and it’s known to be a boost in one’s longevity. It’s an interesting read that is worth checking out.
So, choose to be optimistic. It’ll feel better.
