Day #25 in A Year of Positivity

Hello, hello, and welcome back to A Year of Positivity! I originally came across this quote on July 10th on a very good friend’s social media page, and I planned to auto-schedule it into my A Year of Positivity project for Day #14, but later that evening I broke my left wrist, had surgery three days later, and in that whole process I forgot all about this one until today. Days 11 – 13 were already written and pre-set for auto-publication, and I couldn’t get Day #14 in until August. No matter, we’re here now, and I’m thrilled to share it with you.

“If we wait until we’re ready, we’ll be waiting for the rest of our lives,” is today’s quote brought to you by the character Lemony Snicket in the book series A Series of Unfortunate Events by the author Lemony Snicket, which is a pseudonym of the author, Daniel Handler. This quote struck a chord with me and made me think about several situations in my life that made me question when and if I was ready, but I eventually took my leaps of faith. I’m incredibly thankful that I made the moves and decisions that I made, because if I would have waited until I was “ready,” I wouldn’t have made the moves that I did. These are all situations I’ve obviously mentioned in my previous posts, such as publishing my debut novel, and moving independently from one end of the country to the next, and of course, I can’t forget my Irish Step Dancing performances.

I won’t do a repeat on them in detail today, but truly this is an inspiring and motivating quote. If there’s something you want to do but you haven’t done it yet, ask yourself why. Are you waiting until you’re ready? Are you wondering if you’re ready, or are you maybe doubting yourself? If these are the thoughts lingering in your mind, then I urge you to purge them and take the leap of faith. You won’t know if you’re ready until you walk through the door to the other side. Have a little faith in yourself and if it needs to be one step at a time, so be it, but don’t let the negativity keep you from pursuing your heart’s desires. You’ve got this!
