Day #315 in a Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for our veterans.
Being that I was born a military brat to three parents (my mother, her husband who is still my legal father to this day, and my biological father), with my natural father even having four medals of honor to his name for the way he served in his tours overseas, November 11th means something important to me. It’s Veterans Day. I’m thankful none of my parents lost their lives to the service, but it certainly takes a special kind of individual who is willing to enlist, signing up for potentially dying for our freedoms. It’s not an easy job at all, and it never will be. But for all who have served in times past, are serving now, and will enlist in the future, I give you my deepest gratitude with a prayer of peace and protection over you in the name of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Thank you so much for your service.
