Day #109 in A Year of Positivity

It’s been a crazy year for this lady right here, but I’m back, and I’ve got a brand new quote for Day #109 in A Year of Positivity. This quote is versatile and you can apply it to practically any and every aspect of your life.

This year has been a rollercoaster for me. At the start of the year, I left a short-lived manufacturing job that ended up not being my cup of tea, and became unemployed for two months, spending most of that time looking for another job, which I finally found through a good friend of mine.

Tough decisions were made, career and finance-wise, and I essentially needed to put all my writing on the back burner until I got the hang of my new job, which is very similar to what I was doing before, except it’s no longer in the Medicare Programs sector. I miss working with Medicare, entirely too much, but the pay rates in that industry were no longer meeting my basic cost-of-living expenses. I’m incredibly thankful for the skills I’ve got from Medicare Programs, though, as a lot of them were transferrable to my new role.

I’ve also struggled with keeping my Christian faith around my birthday and my biological father’s passing, as he’d been diagnosed with cancer the day after my birthday, and a month later he’d passed a day after Father’s Day. It was my first and only Father’s Day with him in person. I never knew him growing up, and it was extremely difficult knowing I’d missed out on so many Father’s Days. I was overwhelmed. Hugely. Deeply. I didn’t know what to do, and I didn’t know what direction to take. But you know what? I started with where I was, being still and present in my cozy little home. I used what I had, the love and support my dad gave me in our three years of knowing each other, and the many late-night conversations we had together that were filled with sound advice. I did what I could, taking all of it one step at a time with every breath in my lungs. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have been taking care of the rest ever since.

As you can see, both in the personal and financial/career aspects of my life, I could effectively implement this quote. I didn’t even know it was a quote until a few days ago. I hope you will give this quote a try too.
