Day #356 in a Year of Thanks

Day #356 in a Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful our chandelier’s fully functional again.

A long while ago, probably close to two years now, while we were cleaning the chandelier in our kitchen, Grams accidentally wiped a wet rag on one of the chandelier light bulbs when she was wiping the actual chandelier clean, and it blew a socket and started sparking. We hadn’t replaced the whole thing yet because we love our chandelier, so we were just using it on a dimmer light setting. Well, miraculously, as we began to replace some lightbulbs earlier this evening, the previously blown socket started working again! I couldn’t believe it, and neither could Grams. We were seriously considering replacing the whole chandelier in the spring, and we still may (as we can no longer find replacement bulbs anywhere for the type of chandelier that we have), but it’s fully functional now, and with Christmas dinner just around the corner, the timing couldn’t have been better.

Thank You, Abba!
