Day #341 in a Year of Thanks

Day #341 in a Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for my new green wool coat and a great day of shopping.

I am two sizes away from being able to wear my favorite black wool coat, so I’ve been searching for another one in a bigger size for some time, as I’m extremely picky about the style. Then, when Grams and I went to the mall today, one jumped out at me off the rack—a beautiful, solid green wool coat! I tried on others, but I kept coming back to this one, so now it’s mine and hanging up in my closet (and I’m working on getting some of the cutest green winter scarves to go with it). I also found a very cuddly robe in a pretty pastel coral/seafoam green (I’m not even sure I’ve got the name of the color correct), along with some multi-shaded green PJs. I have loved the color green since I was a preteen, so anytime I can find something awesome to wear in green, which makes me feel super confident, it’ll be mine!

After returning home from the mall, we then got some odds and ends at another store. Grams told me that she wanted to restock up on her favorite perfume. So we headed over to the perfume and body mist section, and found hers. Before I knew it, I recognized my all-time favorite Pink Sugar brand sitting on the shelf right above hers, which I haven’t bought or worn in well over a decade. I didn’t even know this store sold the body mist version of it, and being that it was so cheap, I just had to get it. I decided that it would be my year-end splurge for myself. After I tried it at home, it made me smile and feel giddy inside, because it smells exactly how I remember it. It was such a throwback moment of joy and peace, and now I am bringing it back as one of my main signature scents.
