- To avoid remaining sedentary for too long, take periodic breaks to stand up and move around.
- Stretch your arms and legs.
- Reach up high and then touch your toes.
- Throw in a few jumping jacks to get the heart pumping.
- Dance to a favorite song.
- Take a brisk walk around the house (inside or outside).
- If you have any indoor houseplants, give them some love with a bit of water and a dose of plant food (if needed).
- Hold 1-minute power poses.
- When you sit back down, do some seated shoulder rubs.
- Be sure to adjust your posture in your chair. The more ergonomic the posture, the better you’ll feel.
