A Few 5-Minute Self-Care Ideas for Busy People

Part 5:

  • To avoid remaining sedentary for too long, take periodic breaks to stand up and move around.
  • Stretch your arms and legs.
  • Reach up high and then touch your toes.
  • Throw in a few jumping jacks to get the heart pumping.
  • Dance to a favorite song.
  • Take a brisk walk around the house (inside or outside).
  • If you have any indoor houseplants, give them some love with a bit of water and a dose of plant food (if needed).
  • Hold 1-minute power poses.
  • When you sit back down, do some seated shoulder rubs.
  • Be sure to adjust your posture in your chair. The more ergonomic the posture, the better you’ll feel.
