Day #323 in a Year of Thanks

Day #323 in a Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for the time I lived in San Diego.

I woke up this morning from a dream, a dream I had of being back in San Diego, traveling around by the trolley transportation system. San Diego is both a city and a county, and there is so much to do there, so many different ways you can enjoy a good day. I can still remember preferring to take the trolley into downtown rather than going by car (it was cheaper, too), and I also remember a few routes I frequently took, as if I was still living there yesterday. I can remember getting up at 4 am, leaving my apartment by 5 am, and getting to work by 6 am, while getting out of the office by 2-2:30, and picking up something to eat or going to the store after work. I can remember being able to walk ten blocks down to the beach from my apartment, where I’d walk straight onto the pier, taking my sweet, sweet time enjoying the sunset as seagulls flew over, making their bird calls as the salty Pacific air breezed through my hair. I have zero intention of ever returning to California, despite how much I really miss my beautiful San Diego, but I will always appreciate the many beautiful memories I’ve made in the two years I was there.
