A Few Things You Must Stop Doing to Protect Your Peace, Sanity, and Self-Worth
- People-pleasing. It’s one thing to be nice to people, but if you’re people-pleasing, nip it in the bud. It drains your energy and can make you forget who you are.
- Hanging around people who drain you. If it feels forced or heavy, it’s not for you.
- Explaining yourself to everyone. Not everyone deserves access to your thoughts or reasons, so curb this habit.
- Apologizing for your boundaries. If you’re doing this at all, please stop. You are allowed to protect your energy, peace, and sanity. Boundaries are so important.
- Ignoring your gut instinct. You never know when your gut instinct may just save you a bunch of stress, heartache, or possibly your life. Your gut speaks before your mind and heart, so listen to it.
- Comparing your journey to others. Everyone’s journey is unique, and don’t believe everything you see on social media, because it isn’t reality. Your journey is beautiful because it shapes you into the special person you are today. Embrace it by focusing on your own lane.
