Day #281 in A Year of Positivity

Some Ways to Remain Calm When Life Gets Tough

Part 2:

  • Revisiting an old hobby. If there aren’t any old hobbies, create a new one.
  • Prioritization. Decide what’s important right now and say no to extra obligations, or delegate them to a later time.
  • Sleep. Sleep is vital to our everyday well-being. We should be ensuring we get around 7-8 hours of sleep.
  • Being silly. Do something we did as children. The point is not to take life so seriously all the time.
  • Crying. Sometimes crying is good, as it releases all that pent-up emotional energy. When it’s this kind of cry, releasing all that emotional energy will make us feel better.
  • Checking Self-Talk. Negative self-talk does not serve us. Ever.
  • Journaling. Developing the habit of journaling can help clear our minds.
  • Self-Reminders that life is a journey. This lie is just temporary, and whatever we are going through will also be temporary, and it will pass.
