Day #271 in A Year of Positivity

5 Personal Growth Challenges That Will Change Your Life

Part 5:
The 52-Week Money Challenge.

If you find yourself in a tough spot with saving money, or you simply don’t know where to start, here’s a way you can save. First, cancel any monthly subscriptions that may be draining your bank account if you haven’t used them in the past three months or more. Then, ensure you have a high-yielding savings account. Whatever amounts you’ve just saved from subscription cancellations, add those monthly amounts to the savings account. This 52-week savings experiment will challenge you to save $1 in the first week from your pay cheque, $2 in the second week, $3 in the third week, $4 in the fourth week, and so on. By the end of the year, you’ll have saved $1,378, plus interest, and any additional funds that were being withdrawn from your account monthly. If you have a different idea in mind for a savings challenge, or if you wish to modify this savings challenge to a better plan that fits your financial goals and budgets, then go for it. The point is, when you need some money for a rainy day, a special trip, a big financial mission of the future, or simply for investment in your personal growth, you’ll have some idea(s) of how to get the savings ball rolling.
