Day #238 in A Year of Thanks

Day #238 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for my intense, powerful Wake Up Call from the Lord.

I had a difficult time falling asleep last night. I was up in the wee hours of the morning, 2-3ish, feeling so much excitement in my bones. At one point, I went into the living room, sat down on the sofa for a few minutes, and peeked through the closed blinds to look into the nighttime sky. The sky was pitch black, of course, but it felt like I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for the Lord to appear in the clouds. I’ve been sensing the changes in the air, and so can many other brothers and sisters in Christ.

I was reminded of an intense and powerful experience with the Lord that I had at 3:15 AM Eastern Time on July 29, 2022, nearly a month after I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior at my birth father’s funeral. Some would call it a vision, but I’m not a prophet or someone who typically gets visions. So, I like to call it a Wake-up Call, a vivid and intense warning I received from the Lord three years ago. It was initially a Facebook Live video, but thankfully, I downloaded it before my old Facebook account was deleted. I have this sense of urgency to share it again, this time with a broader audience, so here it is below.

As a heads up, the video is quite long, as I explain what happened in my experience, which was followed by my reading of some scripture that felt important, along with an interpretation of the urgency of the message that was heavy on my heart. Also, please forgive some of my nervous tics (I’m not the best at giving long public talks) and the smudging of my lips, which was due to the chapstick I had on because of ridiculously dry lips at the time. I can still recall this experience as if it were last night. However, the only thing I would want to add to this video is to say, please consult with the Lord about the urgency of this message. If you truly seek Him out, He’ll answer you in some way, though you’ll need to be receptive to any way He might speak to you (don’t put Him in a box). One other thing I want to point out is that I’m correcting myself on an error of what I was saying about the 7-year tribulation period that’s mentioned in Revelation Chapter 13, which is that it speaks of the midway point of the 7-year tribulation, and that some translations of the Bible read the mark of the beast as on/in the right hand or forehead.

Can you hear or feel Jesus knocking on the door to your heart, mind, and spirit?
Open the door and allow Him to see you as you are. He’s not looking for you to clean up your act before you fall on your knees before Him. He wants you as you are, wants to come into your heart, mind, and spirit, and build a personal relationship with you. Let Him in while He’s still knocking. He’ll help you get spiritually cleansed.

Is the Holy Spirit convicting you of your sin?
Then recognize those sins and confess with your mouth that you’re a sinner. The Bible tells us, “Everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (Romans 3:23) Recognize that Jesus died on the cross for you. Through Jesus, your chains are broken, and you’re set free. Because of Jesus dying on the cross for us, God has taken our sins, forgiven them, and forgotten them.

Are you feeling lost and tired of trying to do everything on your own?
Stop running away from God and run to Him. Even if you are hanging on by a thread, let that thread be of the garment of Jesus. Jesus is more than our Lord and Savior. If we let Him, He can be our best friend, and He will not only help us in our need, but also rejoice with us in the greatest blessings. He sees more beauty in us than we can ever see in ourselves while we live in this state of existence on this side of eternity. He is our Healer, our Victor, our Helper, and the one who loves us unconditionally. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

The Way, the Truth, and the Life.
In John 14:6, Jesus tells us, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” If we could have reached God any other way, Jesus would not have had to die and rise again. His voluntary death on the cross clearly illustrates the fact that there is no other way. Those who reject His loving offer of forgiveness — which is extended to all — do so at their own peril. You are not required to believe, and you have free will to choose your destination, but as a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, I am commanded to tell you His Good News.

If you are reading this before the imminent rapture, then there’s still time.
We are still in the church age of grace. However, the breath in your lungs can be taken from you on any day without warning or notice. Take this as my urgent request to seriously consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior, before you either draw your last breath or before the rapture of millions around the world occurs. I love you, and I don’t want to see you get left behind.

Are you ready to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and receive Him into your life?
Salvation comes not merely by believing that Jesus is the Son of God, but by receiving Him into your life. Being a Christian isn’t just knowing about God; it’s knowing God Himself. It’s a relationship, a friendship with Jesus, who comes into your heart and takes up permanent residence there. Jesus said, “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” (Revelation 3:20) The Bible tells us, “To all who believed in Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

How do you receive Jesus into your heart and life?
Through prayer. If you want to ask Him to take up residence in your heart right now, you might offer Him the following prayer:

Lord Jesus,
I know I’m a sinner. I’ve broken your commandments and fallen short of your standards. Right now, I repent and turn from my sins, both known and unknown, and ask You to come into my heart and my life. Be my Lord, Savior, friend, and God. I put my faith in Jesus Christ, and in Him alone, to save me from my sins. Thank You for loving me, forgiving me, and calling me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer, welcome to the Kingdom of God (or welcome back if you are a prodigal)! If I don’t meet you on this side of eternity, then when we meet the Lord in the air, and we’re dining with the Lord at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven during the tribulation, reach out to me, because I want to give you a big ol’ hug. I love you. So much. And I am so, so, so looking forward to meeting you.
