Day #230 in A Year of Positivity

“Close some doors today. Not because of pride, incapacity, or arrogance, but simply because they lead you nowhere.”—Paulo Coelho

Letting go can be hard, especially when it’s something our heart has desired. However, it’s important to recognize when some doors are only dead ends. More often than not, we don’t come to this realization until we’ve already opened the doors. When we see it’ll lead us nowhere, that’s when we need to take a step back, close the door, and walk away. It’s hard because it can be heartbreaking and soul-crushing, depending on what we were hoping for behind those doors, but when we let go of the pain and hopelessness it gives us, we can walk away with peace of mind. I’m facing this now on my journey, and it’s pretty tricky, but I’m learning. Letting go is about making room for something even more incredible to emerge when the time is right.
