Day #228 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for the lovely day with all our neighbors.

Today was spent in the front yard of one of our neighbors, with all of us in the neighborhood celebrating the 80th birthday of another neighbor (the one who is waiting on a buyer for his house before he moves to Alaska). We enjoyed BBQ spare ribs and chicken from the grill, along with a variety of sides that we agreed to make and bring. There was also cake, though I wasn’t in the mood for anything sweet. It felt sticky outside with all the humidity, but we had a great breeze going, and everyone had a wonderful time. I love our neighbors, and I’m glad we got to spend time together today.
