“If you don’t make the time to work on creating the life that you want, you’re going to spend a lot of time dealing with a life you don’t want.”—Kevin Ngo
Grams once had a telephone conversation with someone who had since passed away, but in this conversation, the woman on the other end of the line was complaining about this and that. My Grams told her that if she didn’t like the way certain things were going, she should do something about changing it, because sitting around and complaining isn’t going to do the job. The lady took her advice and later called her up to thank her. Now, she was happier because she had changed what she didn’t like, and she loved it. I can’t remember what exactly the situation at hand was, but that’s exactly what popped into my head when I saw this quote. It’s a good one to remind ourselves that we’re capable of changing this around, if we don’t like the way they’re going. That’s our opportunity to replace whining and complaining with something that can bring joy and lift the mood in the air. I know I’ve certainly been making a lot of changes over the last year, and I know I have a long way to go to get to the life I want to live. However, I’m at peace with the changes I’ve made so far, and I’m pleased with the changes I’m continuously working on.
