Day #200 in A Year of Thanks

Day #200 in A Year of Thanks:

I’m thankful for an unexpected blessing God sent our way today.

Grams and I have a huge blue spruce in our backyard with most of the bottom branches being dead, which we were working on removing. The process was started yesterday, and we were going to finish it today after the rainy weather cleared up. However, a random stranger came to our front door, and he said he’d noticed work was being done on the tree. He explained that he’d been a professional tree cutter for 40 years and offered to take care of the rest of the dead branches for whatever we could give him, whether it was $5, $50, or whatever. Grams had a chat with him for a bit after he’d done all the work on it, which turned out really well. We learned he was a fellow brother in Christ who just wanted to help because he knew the work we were doing with the tree was no simple task. Grams and I believe the Lord sent him our way as an unexpected, but on-time blessing that turned out to be just what we needed at the right time. Thank You for all You do, Abba!
