Day #164 in A Year of Positivity

“The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs, one step at a time.”—Joe Girard

With it being Friday and all, I thought we could welcome the weekend with a chuckle-inducing quote. At least, it gives me a smile and a good chuckle. For someone like me, who is short on patience more often than I care to admit, quotes like this remind me that not everything can happen instantly or overnight. Success can look so different from one person to the next, because success means something different to each of us. Sometimes it takes shape in education, personal growth, a career, a family life, or it can even be found in one’s own path of religion.

Regardless of the direction we choose, every pathway to success requires specific steps to be taken. It won’t be easy, but it’s undoubtedly worth every challenge we face, because we learn a great deal from the steps we take. The steps we take refine us and shape us into the incredible people we are destined to become. So, while it may be frustrating when the elevator is out of order, we should take the stairs. Besides, it will be more rewarding in the end. 😉
