Day #146 in A Year of Positivity

“We can’t develop an unconditional spiritual attitude without cultivating patience and selflessness.”—Unknown

These past few days, the word “soft” has penetrated my mind, heart, and souland I don’t mean as in weak. I mean as in patience, kindness, and selflessness. It made me realize that I still have some growing to do when it comes to matters of the heart. Yes, the Lord has been doing a great work in me as time passes, but I could do so much better. This quote reminds me of a famous one, which is one of my favorites:

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”—1 Corinthians 13:4-7

When you see this spiritual attitude being freely and unconditionally shared between people, it’s so incredibly beautiful. There’s also nothing like experiencing it for yourself. My lack of patience is my stumbling block. I’m usually good at keeping in touch with it for people, but I totally suck at it on a personal level. I want to improve my patience overall because I want to be soft. I can see how cold, dark, and vicious this world is. We need more light, love, and unconditional spiritual attitude, where patience, kindness, and selflessness can shine brightly for anyone who needs it. Jesus, please help me soften my heart where it needs softening, and keep teaching me Your ways of the unconditional spiritual attitude in every one of its beautiful ways.
