Day #117 in A Year of Thanks

Day #117 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for my new mini flash cards.

I am usually good at organization, having a place for everything, and knowing where everything is. However, I am absolutely terrible at remembering where I last had a specific deck of DIY language learning flash cards. In the past, I’ve made tons of them out of index cards by cutting each one into four miniature cards. I’d take them with me on the go for random periods throughout the day, in which I could go over my language studies. They work well for me as a memory tool and are fun to whip out and play with, but I kept losing all of them.

So, I’m trying something different. I ordered a few stacks of 2.7×1.6-inch blank study cards with stainless steel binder rings, and I am already so excited about them! They’re thicker than regular index cards, have a front and back cardboard cover for protection, and write smoothly without ink bleeds. Best of all, when I want to take a deck of cards with me when I’m out and about, I can attach it to my key chain. I’ll never have to worry about losing another stack of study cards again.
