Day #98 in A Year of Thanks

Day #98 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful my grandma’s eye surgery went well today.

Grams was scheduled for cataract removal surgery back in February, but her slow recovery from COVID meant she had to postpone it. She finally had the surgery today, and all went well, as expected. After leaving the eye surgery center, she was famished, so I took her out to eat, and we had a lovely afternoon. She needs to wear an eye guard for the next 48 hours, and we have a follow-up office visit with her specialist in the morning. Grams is in good spirits about the whole thing, though, and I am, too.
