Day #96 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m so thankful for one of my closest Italian friends.
I’ve got a few friends in Italy, though Laura is the first person I’m looking forward to seeing and hugging (big time) when I’m finally able to take some time off to visit her and her beautiful country. Laura is a lot like my soul sister, Chelsea, though she is equally unique in her own right. She is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, with such a big heart for others, and I consider her to be in my inner circle of best friends. She has a very unique perspective on the world, and she’s loyal and committed to everyone she loves and cares about. She’s so precious, and I love her dearly.
Every Italian I have ever known, growing up, and every Italian I’ve met along the way, has always been tender and kind toward me. Their hearts are filled with compassion and empathy, so they are not afraid to love you as you are, and they’ll always tell you what they see in you. If you don’t have at least one Italian in your life, you should go find one and befriend that beautiful soul. If you already have one or more in your life, please never take them for granted. They will add so much spice, flavor, passion, and zest to your life!
