Day #92 in A Year of Thanks

Day #92 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for our heating oil and furnace company.

This one may sound a bit odd to be thankful for, but I’ll tell you why it has my attention today. Last night, we’d gone to bed like any typical night, though at two in the morning, Grams woke me up. She told me that we lost heat. Of course, I don’t mind so much when I’m sleeping because I get much better nights of sleep in the cold than I do in the warmth. She’s pretty cold-sensitive, though. We called our heating oil and furnace company as soon as they opened, and they sent someone to look at our furnace.

It turns out that a few parts had burnt out and needed replacement. The burned-out parts could have easily started a fire in the middle of the night, so I’m incredibly thankful for Abba watching over us in that regard. The specialist was in and out in under an hour, and due to the premium we pay annually for our contract with the company, we aren’t getting any charges. I give all my thanks to the Lord for this entire situation, and I’m grateful that it was resolved. Now, we’ve got heat in the house again, and my Grams can get back to sleeping well again.
