Day #86 in A Year of Thanks

Day #86 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful I have a laptop to write with.

Earlier today, I opened one of my manuscripts to read and make corrections as I went along, and I noticed, as I was charging it, that my laptop was getting hot. It doesn’t usually get hot, although it’s now over two years old. I’m hoping the heat was just a fluke, because I absolutely love this Lenovo. It’s 13 inches, compact, lightweight, and very easy to grip because of its jean fabric lid. It’s a unique laptop, especially with its custom-designed jean fabric lid, and I’ve never seen it on any other laptop before. I have an updated model as a backup, but I couldn’t get it with the same type of fabric. Regarding the heating matter at hand, I decided to let my Lenovo rest while it finished charging, and I’m also looking into ensuring this doesn’t happen again. Leaving it alone to charge seemed to have done the trick for today, because it cooled down when I checked on it again a little while later. I’m grateful to have had this laptop for so long, and I’ll continue to appreciate how well it still serves me in all my writing adventures.
