Day #83 in A Year of Thanks

Day #83 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful I live in an area where I get all four seasons of the year.

I absolutely loved living in San Diego some years ago. It was incredible to experience over 300 days of awesome sunshine with average temperatures in the 70s year-round. However, I missed out on seeing the changing of all four seasons like I’m used to here in Pennsylvania. I saw snow once while I was in California, which was a rare phenomenon for San Diego. It was amazing not to have any arthritis flare-ups the entire two years I lived there because of the dry air, but I seriously missed the changing of all four seasons.

With spring comes new life and revitalized spirits. With summer comes joy and laughter, family vacations, and water sports. With autumn comes bonfires with crisp air smelling of apples, apple cider, pumpkin spice, and stunning fall foliage. With winter comes everyone in the whole family gathering together through the holidays while ringing in the new year with fresh, sparkly snow and Jack Frost nipping at all our noses. All four seasons have their own unique things about them that separate them from one another. Language fails me when trying to express how much it means to me to experience the magic of all four seasons. There are times when all of it takes my breath away. I may not always live in Pennsylvania, but I will always be sure to find a home where I can experience all four beautiful seasons time and time again.
