Day #77 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for the song “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe.

This song is repeatedly playing in my head like a broken record on a loop because the lyrics resonate with my heart and spirit. The meaning of this song is powerful and overwhelms me with eternal hope, peace, and joy to the point of tears. I often think about how I’ll react to seeing the face of God and everything else in Heaven for the first time. The truth is, I don’t know how I’ll respond. I just know I’m a sinner who doesn’t deserve a spot there, but Jesus paid the price of my sins, and I can’t wait to give Him the biggest hug, thank Him, and praise Him for everything He’s done for me and everyone I care about.
