Day #74 in A Year of Thanks

Day #74 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for the chore of washing dishes.

I used to hate washing dishes as a kid. It was a painfully tedious task. Now, as an adult, I find it rather relaxing. It has this interesting way of singularly bringing my chaotic train of thoughts into one focus, which is usually on the dishes. Sometimes, my brain will get lost in deep philosophical thoughts, but it zeros in on one subject at a time rather than twenty other topics, all meshed together and flashing at the speed of light. If you told me a year ago that I would enjoy washing dishes, I would have said you were out of your mind. Honestly! But now, it brings me more peace than I ever thought was possible.
