Day #68 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for finding some new and incredible online communities of expats living in Italy.

Earlier this evening, I decided to look into some online communities of expats living in Italy or who have been preparing for their move to Italy. These are people from all over the world, and the two communities I found are pretty incredible. I’m reading about others’ experiences with the big move, renovations on their $1 home experiences, etc. Also, I’m finding many resources linked to these groups on how to get work visas, settle into life in Italy through the proper legal channels, and more. I admire how everyone comes together in the online groups to help one another. They genuinely want to provide each other tips, tricks, and opportunities to learn from their hard-learned lessons of what not to do while sharing with others what it means to live abroad in such a magnificent country as Italy. I’m far from even considering such a big move at this time in my life, and that’s okay because there are other goals I’m working on right now. However, I can’t deny how incredibly eye-opening these online expat communities are for me, and I love this!
