Day #66 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for FaceTime.
I don’t use FaceTime much, but when I do, it’s usually with my family. I just got off a FaceTime call not too long ago with one of my sisters, Alyssa. I hate the long distance between us, but we’ll talk on FaceTime when we want to talk on the phone in real time. It got me thinking about how far technology has come. I still remember playing with a rotary phone when I was three and living with my mom and her paternal grandmother. I really missed talking with my sister, so it was a joy to video call her for an hour and catch up. I can’t wait to see her again and give her the biggest bear hug because she is so precious. For now, though, I will continue to be happy and appreciative of FaceTime.
