Day #21 in A Year of Thanks

Day #21 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for going to the Emergency Room.

I woke up this morning so weak and lightheaded. I tried to keep myself hydrated and eat, but this morning was a morning of losing fluids faster than I could keep it. I reached a point where I felt disoriented, like I’d pass out, and I knew something was wrong, so I went to the ER. My healthcare team helped me out a great deal with IV fluids, rehydrating me and giving me a much-needed nebulizer breathing treatment while also tackling some other symptoms that led me there. Now, I’m back home and resting. As for my grandmother, she may be discharged tomorrow, but they’re still keeping an eye on her A-Fib first. She says she misses me and can’t wait to be home with me, where we can return to our usual cheery selves with joy and laughter. I miss her, too, and I can’t wait until we’ve crossed the finish line of this crummy COVID.
