Day #2 in A Year of Thanks

Day #2 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for the one I call my best friend and soul sister.

There are friendships, close friends, and best friends. Then, some friendships go well beyond the traditional measure of best friends. These are the friendships that transcend space and time. They come out of nowhere and when you least expect it. They bless you beyond measure.

These special friendships have a unique quality that no other friendship can match. They’re like soulmates or twin flames, a bond tied together in all the best ways. If they know you’re going through something, they will pause whatever they’re doing so they can be there for you. They will inevitably heal parts of you they never broke. They will never let you talk yourself down, and they will just lift you higher.

They cry with you when you’re struggling, and they will pray with you and hold you close. When you get angry or upset about something, they also get angry and upset. When something brings you great joy, they will rejoice with you. They cheer you on with all your success.

They see you, hear you, and feel you. The connection is effortless and easy. They bring you peace and add spice to your life. Conversations can last for hours, and you can go days without talking to each other and reconnect as if no time has passed. They’re irreplaceable.

You are not an option to them. They choose you every day. They reserve a special place in their heart for you that no one else could ever take. They’re steadfast and loyal. No matter how many seasons you walk through in life, they love you unconditionally and will never let you walk alone.

This is my best friend, Chelsea. She is my soul sister and one of my favorite blessings. The Lord knew what He was doing when He brought us together. Everyone should have a bestie like her.
